Number 17 in the series. American artist Jeff Koons took challenge of creating one of BMWs infamous Art Cars. After a 35year long stretch of BMW art cars Jeff took it up to himself a few years back to go approach BMW about creating this brightly multicolor vinyl scheme on their M3 GT2 race car that will be raced at the 24 hours of Le Mans.

This video has been floating around the forums for almost two weeks now, but we feel this is worth the watch. Filmed entirely on Canon 5D mkII’s, Tim Hahne does a great job at capturing the emotions of auto racing without needing a massive production budget.

24 Hours of Le Mans
The 77th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans is over!
The #9 Peugeot team was victorious in LMP1. David Brabham, Marc Gene, and Alexander Wurz took the Peugeot 908 Hdi FAP through 24 hours into victory lane. The French teams (both #8 and #9) dominated, but the Germans held strong with their turbo diesel powered Audi R15, and finshed in 3rd place. Lets see what next year brings with the gas vs. turbo diesel battle…
Formula Drift at Wall Speedway, NJ
Formula Drift made its way back to Wall Speedway in New Jersey and brought in drift fans from all over the region. Rain in the morning with a little bit of an overcast sky before the event tried to hold back the drift cars but that did not happen. Within minutes of the first run the sky cleared and the smoke poured out of the cars as they slid by.

BlownEuros @ Club Loose East Coast Bash – The Bible Burner
Alrighty guys, now that we’ve got this new blog going it’s time to put it to good use! Two weekends ago was Club Loose’s East Coast Bash, I’ve kind of abandoned my roots of grip driving and decided all I pretty much want to do anymore is drift… *sigh* ooops!

Even rain couldn’t keep the Grand Am faithful away from NJMP
2 hours 45 minutes, 62 drivers, 87 laps and 1.5 inches of rain. Those were the numbers from the Verizon 250 presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 at New Jersey Motorsports Park. The weather forecasters predicted a 30% chance of rain on race day, and they couldn’t be any more correct.
